Tranquil Welcome - Langley
Murrayville, BC
Client Need:
Higher Ground was hired to help this client transform their front entrance and their back yard.
The front entrance contained a very dry, uninviting garden beside the stairs leading to the front door.
The backyard required work in multiple areas:
- an unpleasant-looking concrete fence needed screening to provide the client with more privacy from surrounding properties;
- a broken diving board needed to be replaced with a diving deck;
- the hot tub area was in full sun and encased by a metal gazebo which needed to be replaced with a more solid structure.
Higher Ground’s Solution:
In the front yard, Higher Ground created a visually appealing and inviting entrance to the front door by installing a water feature complete with water falls, and adding drought tolerant plants that would thrive under a large tree.
In the back yard, Higher Ground screened the concrete fence with a lattice and arbour, and extended this around the entire pool deck. An aesthetically pleasing diving deck was also built, with access to the rolling cover.
A beautiful cedar gazebo was built around the hot tub area to shade it from the sun, compliment the aesthetics of the pool deck, and harmonize the hot tub with the landscape.
